Umm--please use some caution?

Bear in mind that the uninstall program at this link is provided by the
company that produces the mechanism behind this spyware in the first place.

I don't know of any reason to believe that they don't live up to the
statements made at this site, but please understand who you are dealing
with--this is not a delightful, non-profit site intending to just help us
all out...

All I know is that it works... all my scans with Spybot
Search and Destroy, Microsoft antispyware, AdAware
Professional and several others are all coming out clean.
If you have used it let me know how it worked for you.

Ken,

It may have appeared to work for now, but you had better read this :

The Transponder Gangs, Mypctuneup.com - Updated information
http://www.webhelper4u.com/tnewswri...tuneupmain.html

Suggest you peruse the system's registry to see what the author's point
is. The entries haven't been removed and the system is still at the
mercy of the purveyors of " undesireable software ".

Steve - The author has done some great work, but he needs an editor.

I can't tell from that mass of information whether this newer uninstaller
leaves anything bad behind or not. If it does, I think, based on my own
experience cleaning this, that, for example, Trend Micro's scanner would
find it and remove it.

Amen, Bill. Thanks for the info on the Trend scanner. eTrust removes the
malware easily, BTW.
The jury is still out on the latest "uninstaller". Caveat emptor !

Good to hear about Etrust. In Trends case, in the active infected machine I
cleaned by hand, they were able to spot the one piece of the triad of apps
that I hadn't found by any other method, but were unable to clean it--this
is one which is active even in safe mode. They may well have improved since
then--that was a week or more back, as I recall.
