Default Scan Warning


Got a high level security warning. Virus not known. Tried
both to remove and quarantine. System says done, but the it
is still showing as ignored. Any suggestions?

Ignored is the default setting. Click the down arrow and choose what you
want to do.

Hi MC,
If it's a viral warning, then I can only hope you aren't depending on MWAS
to do your virus checking. That's not what the program is intended for.
You should have a current, up to date anti virus program running on your PC.
If not, check Panda:

I did try both "remove" and Quarantine, but no luck. Says
initially that it has been removed, but not. As to whether
this is my only level of protection - no. Use AVG 7 for
virus and ZoneAlarm Pro, so I'm not overly concerned. Just
can't figure out why this thisng won't go away.

Won't allow me to do so because of problem with internet
proxy systems? Perhaps because I use firefox rather than IE6?

Not becaise of Firefox. Could be because of IE settings--if IE or OE are
set to work offline.
