I'm glad you're still here..or did you mean the false positive?
If you are still seeing the false positive after attempting to update to 5711, my current understanding is that the update is not complete. I've been recommending deleting the definition files, but that seems to have left one user in a less-than-functional condition, so I'm not sure what to recommend at this point--perhaps an update installation followed by another attempt to update the definitions. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Tom R" <tom42344@snotmail.com> wrote in message news:O5Saz86RFHA.1580@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... > |

I have been having problems updating to definitions 5711, its the famous "No
Internet Connection Available", I have tried all the suggestions that I have been recommending ever since and none seem to work. Downloaded a new build off the website, but it does not include 5711 yet, and the definition number is not syncronized. AntiSpyware Team needs to work that out. Renamed the specified gcd files but that does not work either. -- Andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Bill Sanderson" <Bill_Sanderson@msn.com.plugh.org> wrote in message news:eBZMNB7RFHA.1132@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... > I'm glad you're still here..or did you mean the false positive? > > If you are still seeing the false positive after attempting to update to > 5711, my current understanding is that the update is not complete. > > I've been recommending deleting the definition files, but that seems to > have left one user in a less-than-functional condition, so I'm not sure > what to recommend at this point--perhaps an update installation followed > by another attempt to update the definitions. > -- > FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: > http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm > > "Tom R" <tom42344@snotmail.com> wrote in message > news:O5Saz86RFHA.1580@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... >> > > |

Andre,
Mine froze getting 5711, then froze again after a quick scan. Needed reboot to get all my ducks back in order.
