I removed IST.ISTbar Browser Modifier with Microsoft Anti-
spy ware software and it just comes back again when I restart. I even tried running Microsoft AntiSpyware software from windows safemode but I get the same problem. Any suggestions on how to permentantly remove itself? Another problem: I cannot seem to get the "report a problem" function to work in Microsoft anti-spy where. It asks me to check the proxy settings even though my browser and outlook express works. This the the description that was provide by microsoft AntiSpyware: Details: ISTbar is an Internet Explorer redirector that modifies your homepage and searches without your consent using an Internet Explorer toolbar. Status: Removed Regards, paul |

Hi Paul,
Try this: Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup; Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ; Run the scan while in safe mode; If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any BHO's that you don't recognize.
