I have thought of this and I am working with the product group to see if we
can have something similar to what AV has. -- -steve Steve Dodson [MSFT] MCSE, CISSP PSS Security -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Glad to hear it--I think some feature to independently trigger the app to
check whether real-time protection is alive and well is useful in a variety of circumstances. (and right now, we've got the PoeBot.explorer detection which handily performs that function!) Right-click the desktop, choose new, text file, rename the file test.bat, and double click on it. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Steve Dodson [MSFT]" <stevedod@online.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:%23yCyDZ9MFHA.1764@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... >I have thought of this and I am working with the product group to see if we >can have something similar to what AV has. > > -- > -steve > > Steve Dodson [MSFT] > MCSE, CISSP > PSS Security > > -- > > This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no > rights. > Use of included script samples are subject to the terms specified at > http://www.microsoft.com/info/cpyright.htm > > Note: For the benefit of the community-at-large, all responses to this > message are best directed to the newsgroup/thread from which they > originated. > "D@annyBoy" <dxb@home.cyozm> wrote in message > news:exDeBF6MFHA.2152@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... >> anti virus and anti spyware are 2 different things >> >> >> "Jacques" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:OOE2yQ2MFHA.1576@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... >>> Could it be possible to have something like EICAR file in order to test >>> MSAS without playing with setings or real thread? >>> >>> Thanks >>> >> >> > > |
