Microsoft Antispyware realtime-protection should have the
ability to protect all user account and limited accounts, I would like to see this functionality to the next beta 2 or the final version. (this is a really important feature that microsoft should include and consider doing if they want to protect window xp users) how will i be protected if microsoft antispyware real- time protection doesn't work on limited account at all or all user accoutn? most people use limited account too and there's no reason for mircrosoft to create a program that doesn't support limited account at all they should know how to do it. |

It's been discussed quite a lot. I'm sure they will fix that problem before it goes gold. It's unthinkable that they wouldn't. -- Segovia |

It is a known issue that limited and multiple accounts are not supported by
this beta 1 release of MSAS. It will be beta 2, for now, its best running it as an Administrator. -- Andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "chris" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:242801c5334a$8c708cf0$a601280a@phx.gbl... > Microsoft Antispyware realtime-protection should have the > ability to protect all user account and limited accounts, > I would like to see this functionality to the next beta 2 > or the final version. What makes this difficult at this time is this:
You have a limited user account running the application looking for spyware on all files and folders. This includes the administrator account which limited users may not be able to access. So we have to approach this carefully in order to remove the spyware from all locations, but also preserve file and folder permissions and access. In short, we are addressing this for a future release, but it involves some major coding and testing. -- -steve Steve Dodson [MSFT] MCSE, CISSP PSS Security -- This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
