Hi: Everytime I seem to load Firefox (from Mozilla, as I
had too many problems with IE), MSAS finds "BrowserAid" stored in 3 different locations in the Registery. It apparently cleans it out, but it reoccurs after loading the Firefox Browser. I've tried cleaning this headache from within Safemode (3x's on each of several occasions)and as said above, it seems to reload itself once I run my browser which I have set to goto the Google Home page which I assume does not have this infection (and no other pages for purpose of trying to narrow things down). Could this "BrowserAid" be embedded within Firefox? I've also run Adware, Spybot, nad CrapCleaner - with the same end results To try and rid my PC of this, I most recently upgraded to 1.02 of Firefox, but no change. Anyone who can help out there, your opinion would be appreciated. Regards, Mike. |

Hi - Send a suspected spyware report to MS about this, menu tools. - Download HijackThis (links below) and take a look, if you are experienced you probably can see yourself whats wrong, if not, take help from a forum with experienced HijackThis users for cleaning. http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm or http://www.merijn.org/forums.html -- plun |
