I use IE6 and Firefox for web browsing, and on certain
sites (ig yahoo.com) i can't seem to view the ads on both browsers. i don't have any web-ads blocking software installed or anything, microsoft anti-spy is the only anti-spyware software i'm using. |

No--it doesn't have any facility to block sites. You can use tools,
advanced tools, system explorers to see whether there are entries in the HOSTS file other than the localhost entry. If there are, Microsoft Antispyware did not put them there. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "joe" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:192f01c5325f$e7ad8dc0$a401280a@phx.gbl... >I use IE6 and Firefox for web browsing, and on certain > sites (ig yahoo.com) i can't seem to view the ads on both > browsers. i don't have any web-ads blocking software > installed or anything, microsoft anti-spy is the only > anti-spyware software i'm using. |

ads can also be blocked by a missing program (say flash or any other way to
escape blocking strategies). True, and I turn off flash most of the time, myself. Microsoft Antispyware
doesn't provide any automatic way to do these things either, though. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Jacques" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ugRa5grMFHA.1896@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... > ads can also be blocked by a missing program (say flash or any other way > to escape blocking strategies). > > "Bill Sanderson" <Bill_Sanderson@msn.com.plugh.org> a écrit dans le > message de news: > Oqy3MtnMFHA.1408@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... >> No--it doesn't have any facility to block sites.
