Default Error 101

I've tried everything that people say to do to fix this
problem, but none of them work. I've tried updating the
program and that didn't work. this message pops-up when
i try to open antispyware. it will run when i boot up
the computer, but as soon as i try to open the program,
error 101 pops up.

can someone help me please?

It'd help to actually have a list of what you've tried--there's a pretty
long list for this error.

Are you running as an administrator on your machine?

If you have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, have you tried uninstalling
and reinstalling in a non-default location, such as c:\masa ?

Have you checked that the DCOM service is running?

One way to do this is, at a command prompt:

sc query dcomlaunch <enter>

One of the results you should see is STATE: 4 RUNNING
