Default outlook trouble after scan

I ran the spyware scan and then removed the recomended
files. After I restarted my comupter I found that I can
no longer access the internet with Outlook Express. All
other intenet applications work fine - I.E. & Netscape. I
have tried reseting my accounts in O.E. with no help. The
error message is "The connection to the server has
failed. Account: '>>>.<<<.com', Server: '>>>.<<<.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E". Does anyone know the
solution to this? Is there anyway to restore the removed
files in the antispyware program? I am aware of the XP
restore options.
Thank you,
John T.

That error is often caused by mail scanning being turned on in an anti-virus
program.

Are you connecting through an Exchange server?
Error 0x800ccc0e, Socket Err 10061 (Outlook or Outlook Express & Exchange)
