This is a giant leap forward, for MS, and assisting it's
OS users, with the ever increasing problem of spyware\adware\malware. In particular the real time scanning is an excellent feature. This, combined with a good firewall(both incoming and outgoing[the XP one only does incoming]like Zone Alarm[free]),SpywareBlaster and real time virus scanning(like Avast-also free),should protect a system very well. I'm impressed with the overall effeciency of the program and tested it extensively over the last few days. I did this by going to places that I knew to add spyware\adware\malware and it stopped it all. The program did not find anything on my system that I wasn't already aware of though. I have been using Spybot S&D, AdAware, Bazooka, SpywareGaurd, SpywareBlaster and IDBlaster for months. So a new addition like this program was interesting, if not late. I hope that MS will endeavour to keep this free for everyone or I'm sure that it won't find much support in the Home User\Standalone market. Two thumbs up Microsoft. Give yourselves a pat on the back. TTFN. |
