I have Windows XP Home Edition. I ran the MS anti-spyware
and now I get this message on startup that this dll file/module is missing. What do I do? Thanks for any info! -Troy |

Hi Troy,
Run another scan. If problem persists, try msconfig from the run line, and see if it's loading from startup. Troy;
Start/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt Type "netsh winsock reset" ENTER Follow prompts and reboot. Then IMMEDIATELY run an updated virus scan. Then run AntiSpyware again. This is not caused by AntiSpyware. It is caused by the Spyware that has been removed -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/ <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:094901c4f859$d16b8980$a601280a@phx.gbl... >I have Windows XP Home Edition. This message shouldn't affect operation of the machine--it is just an annoyance at startup. You could get rid of it using MSCONFIG. Find the entry in the startup tab which is attempting to load this item and uncheck it. If you are sure of your skills, you can also remove it from the registry, with care. |
