Default Detection of IT-Monitorning Software

Hello, I installed Microsoft's spyware beta and it didnt
find any typical adware/spyware like Gator etc. I was
wondering if there is a way to find out if my work PC is
running some kind of IT - monitoring software? I would
consider that as spyware..

At this time, the product displays items of that kind. See this KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892375 End users may be prompted to allow or
block administrative actions that originate from a central management tool
after they install Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) on a computer that is managed
by Systems Management Server 2003
