The first one is if you left click (while the scan is running) on one of the
spyware threats to get the bubble description, if the description is to big for the bubble, it just cuts off, rather than expanding the bubble or having an indication that there is more text. The second one is a bit harder to figure out what happened, it's a z-order problem of some kind, when the scan finishes and the summary window pops up, it popped up as a background window and I was unable to activate the window. (so I couldn't click on the button to continue). I had to cycle through several windows before I was able to activate the summary window. On a second scan, this didn't happen, but it did steal the focus from the active window, but it did not pop up in front. I *really* would prefer it not to steal the focus, but if it must, it should pop up in front. Windows XP Pro, SP2, no other beta stuff, Nvidia GFORCE4 video, always lots of app windows open. -- Bob Comer <MS-MVP Virtual PC 2004 for Windows> |

If you dont want it to steal focus, try using Tweak UI, a
Windows Power toy to keep applications from stealing focus. >-----Original Message----- >The first one is if you left click (while the scan is running) on one of the >spyware threats to get the bubble description, if the description is to big >for the bubble, it just cuts off, rather than expanding the bubble or having >an indication that there is more text. > >The second one is a bit harder to figure out what happened, it's a z-order >problem of some kind, when the scan finishes and the summary window pops up, >it popped up as a background window and I was unable to activate the window. >(so I couldn't click on the button to continue). However, another of the power toy series--the alt-tab replacement, causes a
problem with Microsoft antispyware--so exercise some caution with these. (and darned if I can remember the precise nature of the issue it causes--gotta start keeping a database of notes of some sort.) -- FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.txt <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1f6d01c50ac4$09e5a580$a601280a@phx.gbl... > If you dont want it to steal focus, try using Tweak UI, a > Windows Power toy to keep applications from stealing > focus. > > >>-----Original Message----- >>The first one is if you left click (while the scan is > running) on one of the >>spyware threats to get the bubble description, if the > description is to big >>for the bubble, it just cuts off, rather than expanding > the bubble or having >>an indication that there is more text. >> >>The second one is a bit harder to figure out what > happened, it's a z-order >>problem of some kind, when the scan finishes and the > summary window pops up, >>it popped up as a background window and I was unable to > activate the window. >>(so I couldn't click on the button to continue).
