I was looking forward to see a great program. But I see a real
disappointment. I downloaded the program and run it on a XP machine. It found only 1 item which was an open source packet filter. I then run Spy Bot - it found 16 items. I then ran Ad Aware SE. It found an additional 21 items. |

You're seeing that discrepancy because cookie scanning in
Windows AntiSpyware is not enabled for the beta. that's what accounts for the extra 15 and 20 items respectively. Did you perform a full system scan with everything checked?
Out of curiosity, what did SS&D and AAW SE find that this beta didn't? >-----Original Message----- >I was looking forward to see a great program. Then I guess that http://www.spynet.com/info_spywarectriera.aspx is wrong. Microsoft could eliminate much of the problem if they would tighten
down Internet Explorer. On Thu, 06 Jan 2005 11:31:29 -0500, David Sherman <dsherman@iwaynet.net> wrote: >I was looking forward to see a great program.
