Default Real Time Protection

My real time protection isn't working properly on one of
my computers. It says 18 Agents are currently active,
but there are no active checkpoints.

One the first real time protection screen Security Agents
Status: Active

On the summary page it says 1 of 3 agents active

On the real time protection screen when I click on any of
the agents (Internet, system, application) they all say
inactive. Nothing I click on works

What should I do. I have tried reinstalling from the
control panel.

What security or antivirus applications are running on that machine?

I don't have a fix for this. Is Ghost an optional piece that comes with
NIS2005? I have seen NIS2005 posts in both camps--ie. working fine and not
working properly.
