On the machine I was having problems with I was able to
go Click on (C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware\GIANTAntiSpywareMain) run the scan program this way and it will remove a spyware program preventing the program from starting. This worked for me I hope it will work for the rest of you. |

He's describing the default installation folder for Microsoft Antispyware.
If you chose a non-default location, or your install isn't on the C drive, look in the analogous location. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "D@annyBoy" <dxb@home.cyozm> wrote in message news:e7veTBoKFHA.2068@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... >I don't have this folder > > hmmmmmmm.................... > > > "Darrin" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:073101c52a5e$f12148f0$a401280a@phx.gbl... >> On the machine I was having problems with I was able to >> go Click on (C:\Program Files\Microsoft >> AntiSpyware\GIANTAntiSpywareMain) run the scan program >> this way and it will remove a spyware program preventing >> the program from starting. >> >> This worked for me I hope it will work for the rest of >> you. > > |

Well - you could easily be right. Except that is the name of the main
executable for Microsoft Antispyware, and I'm reasonably sure D@anny Boy has the app installed, or has had in the past, anyway. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Gerry Cornell" <gcjc@tenretnitb.com> wrote in message news:e6yTC6ZLFHA.2056@cpmsftngsa05.privatenews.microsoft.com... > Bill > > I think he said folder when he meant file. > > -- > > > Hope this helps. > > Gerry > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > FCA > > Using invalid email address > > Stourport, Worcs, England > Enquire, plan and execute. > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Please tell the newsgroup how any > suggested solution worked for you. > > http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > > "Bill Sanderson" <Bill_Sanderson@msn.com.plugh.org> wrote in message > news:%23nsccwvKFHA.572@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... >> He's describing the default installation folder for Microsoft >> Antispyware.
