Default Microsoft AntiSpyware has expired

After the installation on Windows XP Pro with service
pack 2 I tried to run the program, but I got the
following message: "The Microsoft Internal Beta version
of Microsoft AntiSpyware has expired as of 31.7.2005.
Please contact Microsoft for an updated version."

Is that from the message centre? If so that's not what it says. It says it
expires on that date.

Click on the Start button, then "Run"

Clear anything in the box and type in: cmd
Then press "OK"

Type in: date
Then press return.

Is the date reported correct? What time zone is your computer set to?
Right-click the clock at the bottom right, select "Adjust Date/Time", click
the "Time Zone" tab.

Regards,

Adam.

Reporting the same problem on Windows XP SP2;

Default Microsoft AntiSpyware has expired

Apparently there is a bug to be resolved in next release;
workaround - control panel; regional and language
options/regional options/ choose "english" for your
formats
