After installing new antispyware my computer no longer
had access to the internet. Other computers on the network as well as my IP phone were fine. After doing a system restore to the prior day, everything is back to normal. I need to know how to run Spyware protection without it taking my computer offline. |

Microsoft Anti-Spyware is removing malware from the Layered Protocol Stack and not fixing the stack. This breaks the network. Run "netsh winsock reset" from a command prompt to repair the LSP stack on Windows XP SP2 machines. Or google lspfix.exe. -- Kent W. England, Microsoft MVP for Windows Security |
