Since it was the removal of the stuff that caused the problem, how about
submitting a "Suspected Spyware Report" and describe the issue.

With Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware installed,
Click Tools, then click suspected Spyware Report
No need to put your name or email.
Describe the problem that happened. (I scanned and removed 108 items and
then lost network connectivity.)
Click the Create Report button and it will do a scan, but not remove
anything.
You can then hit the Submit Report button to send us the info. (This allows
us to improve the process)
After submitting, you can then either Finish or "View your complete report"

Try this. Your spyware probably hosed your network files.

did you check your winsock2 installation, or try to
reinstall that before you did a system restore? i had
removed some spyware and had that happen (with Adaware)
and i dont know if the ms version has a fix for that in
the beta--just another possability.

I would just like to say thannks for this fix, the
WindowsXPFix works excellently.

My problem was that I ran MS Antispyware and it removed
and blocked a new lsp layer that it determined was spyware.

The symptoms where then no network connectivity, although
I could pibg DNS and IP Addresses, but I also received a
computer beep evertime it ran. 3 hours too find a fix not
bad. I think that spyware should be put to the top of the
list of problems to legislate severely against as this
must cost millions of $'s & £'s in resolution and
prevention time, I know it costs my 20 person company
£8000 a year in my time updating and resolving virus and
spyware issues.

Anyway heres to the summer
