Default Windows Update via CD

I have an XP Home Edition platform with 56k dialup
internet interface.. The platform installation took place
nearly a year after purchase. There are 34 Critical
Updates (44 MB) needed to be applied. Is there a
procedure by which I can download the entire suite of
Window Updates to a different machine (on high speed
connection), burn a CD, then install onto the target
platform from CD? Thanks for any help. I am trying to
avaoid sitting at the machine for days to get updated!!!

You can get a free cd from Microsoft that contains all of the updates up
untill October 2003. So atleast that will give you a head start if you only
have 56k connection. Hopefully they will release a cd of SP2 when it is
finally released?!

You can run windows update and write down all the KB numbers of the critical
updates. Then go to the computer at work and goto download.microsoft.com
and search for the KB numbers and download the XP patch. Burn the patches
to a cd and take them home and install from CD.
