Task bar icon won't go away!

When I first installed the beta and told it to hide the
tray icon, it did just that. But, after restarting, it
refuses to hide the tray icon unless the program is not
running. This is on a WinXP x64 system.

Yeah, I found/reported this too (along with a bunch of other bugs). Though
on mine, it did not initially hide it, it only hid after I rebooted.
