I'm not too sure how I'm supposed to report issues with the beta software, so I'll just post them here I guess. I tried the program, it seems to work fairly well for me, but I don't want any run time protection nor do I want any boot time apps or services running when I tell it I don't want any run time protection or startup programs running. Suppose, for example, I only want to keep the program around to run manual, occaisional deep scans, and I have something else I want to use (or not) for run time protection. So I turned it off all the run time protection in the options/settings menu, yet the program retains the HKLM/.../run/gcasServ key which starts gcasserv.exe at boot time. Also, when running with no run time protection, the program stays active in the system tray until you manually exit. Why does it stay active in the system tray when all run time protection is turned off? Not that I'm expecting any answers, but I hope the contribution helps to make this thing a better product. -David |
