Default Internet problem with B eta 1

I have just downloaded Microsoft anti-spyware (Beta 1)
When I endeavour to run manual updater, I receive a
warning (in red) that anti-spyware could not connect to
the internet, even though I am using broadband.
When I endeavour to submit a spyiware report, I am
informed that "an error occured while trying to conect to
internet, check my internet proxy settings and try again".
I am a senior citizen and not a very adept P.C. user and
I have no idea what internet proxy settings are or how
ato check same.
Is this a problem created by downloading Bet?.

There seems to be a small issue with this at present. Hang tight.

Can you bring up a web page in Internet Explorer?

Paul - I believe your update issue indicates a problem at the far end of the
connection--nothing wrong on your machine. The issue with sending reports
may be the same, or it may not--I'm not sure yet.

Please try both operations again at a later time--neither of these errors
indicates any problem with your machine, scary as they are.
