Internet Explorer Problem

Hello,

Recently formatted and installed xp pro. Can access the
web fine, except when I try to access websites that
require password, after I enter my login information it
always tells me page cannot be found. This for things
like yahoo mail, and bank accounts and so on........But I
can still acess a lot of other websites. Any idea what
is going on? Please help. Thank You.
