I don't know if this will help, but if you have a bootable floppy or are
able to boot from the CDROM you might be able to do a restore. If you are
able to boot into Safe Mode, look at the recycle bin and see what file was
deleted, and restore it from your system disk using a file checker. I'll
see if I can find the links for you... Jeff F

could not get it to boot. The machine would begin to boot, start loading
Windows, then shut off and reboot. It stayed in this continuous loop. I
could not even repartition my HD and reinstall to factory initial setup, I
had to send it into the warrantee company.

(all licensed to me, no pirates), and transferred my work files from my
other computer that I was using while this one was getting fixed. I have my
XP firewall in place, I only download email descriptions to prevent a host
of junk mail, and I have the latest virus definitions from Norton Anti-virus
running. Still, I opened what looked like a legitimate email, and Norton
captured the infected file and quarantined it. I then deleted the file
through Norton.

again boots to the point of loading Windows, shuts down, reboots, in a
continuous loop.

floppy, and install on my Toshiba machine? Remember, I can't get into
windows to do anything with it.
