Default Emule identified as spyware

I believe the current anti-spyware signature file
incorrectly identifies Emule v0.44d as spyware (also other
versions presumably). This is an open source project and
there should be no ad/spyware bundled with this software.
See http://www.emule-project.net for further reference.

There is possible mixup with the software edonkey2000
which allegedly carries several ad-ware/spyware
applications.

See my posting of a form for vendor dispute of listings later in this group.

I agree with ya. eMule is completely safe.

However AntiSpyware detect my eMule copy as eDonkey2000

I think this must wrong, this is not a vendor dispute.
Emule is identified as edonkey2000, author Metamachine.
This is clearly a false positive, emule has nothing
whatsoever to do with this vendor.

This is the identification tag issued in MS Anti-Spyware:

eDonkey2000
Type: Adware Bundler
Threat Level: Low
Author: MetaMachine

I don't disagree--but one method of bringing such a false positive directly
to the attention of the folks who can fix it would be to use the vendor
dispute form.

It isn't its primary purpose, but it is the only form I can see allowing for
this kind of contact from a vendor impacted by the operation of Microsoft
Antispyware.
