My windowx xp file system was corrupted, as a result,
windows does not boot anymore, i tried repairing the operating system but it did not worked. So i decided to install a fresh copy of the operating system on a new directory. The new installation is working ok but the problem is i cannot access my old user account folder. The message "access denied" appears. How can I access my old user account folder? Thanks |

HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP NOTE: You must be logged on to the computer using an account that has administrative privileges. If you are running Windows XP Home Edition, in order to have access to the Security tab, you must first start in Safe Mode and log on with an account that has Administrative rights.
