I have a database the has been split with the security,
i.e front and backend, with userlevel security. The mdw is located on the same network resource. Security is working correctly. However, I have two users that report after restarting the computer, they must join the mdw again. I completed a test on three other computers but found no instance of this problem as reported by the user. Any ideas and assistance would be greatly appreciated! |

Instead of having them join at all, give them a desktop shortcut to start
the secure database, and leave them joined by default to their system.mdw. This allows them to open/use unsecured databases without using the workgroup administrator to change workgroups. The shortcut target would look like "path to msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to mdw" -- Joan Wild Microsoft Access MVP "Greg" <greg.rigby@axa-financial.com> wrote in message news:000601c365ab$4fada960$a501280a@phx.gbl... > I have a database the has been split with the security, > i.e front and backend, with userlevel security.
