Default internet explorer

I am running XP pro. After 2 minutes of being booted up,
my PC starts opening multiple instances of IE. I have
ran a current virus scan (Norton) and have removed all
cookies, internet files (history) and run a spy bot
check. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. Not sure what is causing
it, but reset the operating system to a couple of days
earlier and the problem seemed to go away. One troubling
thing is that the system "spooler" wanted to connect to
the internet. Using my firewall, I stopped the spooler
connection.

I may still have the problem, but the symptoms have not
returned. Good luck.

Jeff,

Just got an update from Norton. It found a virus on my
machine so I think that solved the problem!
