Hi,
I got one server running terminal services in Administration mode. One user is always logged on the server itself because he needs to frequently check progress on a program that can be run ONLY on the server. Another 2 users are logged onto the server via TS. Some of them might share a login name. There is a need to have 1 more (preferrable 2 more) users temporarily log in and out of the server. Of course, being that 3 is the limit, it is impossible. I do not understand the licensing issue in Application Server Mode: do you buy them? Do you call Microsoft? How much are they? And finally, is there a way to log another user in WITHOUT installing Application Server Mode? Thanks, Mia Jones |

No, you cannot increase the number of concurrent administrative
sessions to the server without switching to Application mode. You can buy Terminal Server Client Access Licenses (TS CALs) from any reseller. The price varies, check your local resellers. -- Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server http://hem.fyristorg.com/vera/IT --- please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email --- maxvalery@hotmail.com (YM) wrote on 16 nov 2004 in microsoft.public.win2000.termserv.clients: > Hi, > > I got one server running terminal services in Administration > mode. > > One user is always logged on the server itself because he needs > to frequently check progress on a program that can be run ONLY > on the server.
