Default RE: TS Bandwith Usage

Anything over 33.6Kbps is sufficient for the terminal server client, regardless of what OS the client is using. If you crank-up the screen resolution to 1280x1024 or allow users to see their desktop background images the bandwidth required will be higher, but even the slowest ASDL connection is more than sufficient. The things that youo'll need is a connection in the office that's fast enough to handle the combined traffic from all of your remote workers. Plan for 56Kbps per user and you'll be fine

If someone is printing a 15MB Publisher document to their local client printer this job will be spooled over the Internet connection, so keep this in mind when planning for the bandwidth you'll need. The same goes for file copy/paste between Terminal Server & RDP Client

If the server is 2003 you should use the Remote Desktop Client 5.2.3790, which is abailable here

If you want to deploy Remote Desktop Connections to users via Internet Explorer you can use the Remote Desktop Web Connection which delivers an activeX RDP client and connection settings to remote users via IE window

how tos here
