Default Licensing wts2003 in w2k domain


hello all,

we are trying to implement ts services using win2k3 while still in a win2k
domain ad stucture. do I still have to register the licenses on a win2k
dc terminal Licences server? can i just use win2k3 as a member server for
the Licencing TS server?

Default Licensing wts2003 in w2k domain

You need to tun a terminal services licensing server with
an OS that is the same that your terminal server is
running.

If you are using Windows 2003 terminal services, then your
licensing server must be running Windows 2003. In your
case, you just need to bring up a member Windows 2003
server (or install it directly on the terminal server),
install terminal services licensing service, and you
should be good to go.
