We have a Windows 20000 WTS-Server with several clients connecting.
One client shows a strange behaviour: every task he runs appears as a SYSTEM process in the task Manager. All other clients behave normally. He is not a member of a administrative group and his account is the same as one of the other users. Any suggestions how to turn the client tasks back into "real" user tasks? |

If you start up a command prompt, and you do an "echo %
username%" (without the quotes) what do you get? -M >-----Original Message----- >We have a Windows 20000 WTS-Server with several clients connecting. >One client shows a strange behaviour: every task he runs appears as a >SYSTEM process in the task Manager. Hi Matthew,
thanks for your reply. %username% shows the real username. It's strange: every task like winword.exe, acrotray.exe and other tasks started by this user seems to be SYSTEM-Tasks - not one single exception. This is a pretty cool malfunction. So since the user is
identified as a the system, do they also have elevated privileges? -M >-----Original Message----- >Hi Matthew, >thanks for your reply. > >%username% shows the real username.
