I am running windows 2000 in an NT domain.
Hoe can I deny my user from being able to logon to the desktop but still give them access to a single application. |

In the user account > Environment tab put in the exe of your choice. This
will set the application as the "shell" rather than explorer. -- Regards, Michael Holzemer No email replies please - reply in newsgroup "Barry Schneider" <bschneider@coverallusa.com> wrote in message news:36e801c3402e$8170ea40$a601280a@phx.gbl... > I am running windows 2000 in an NT domain. > > Hoe can I deny my user from being able to logon to the > desktop but still give them access to a single application. > > |

But be aware that this is far from fool-proof. From within most
applications it is rather easy to start explorer or whatever program. -- Vera Noest MCSE,CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server http://hem.fyristorg.com/vera/IT *----------- Please reply in newsgroup -------------* "Michael Holzemer" <ms2kguru@noway.pacbell.net> wrote in news:OpC7JRGQDHA.1612@TK2MSFTNGP11.phx.gbl: > In the user account > Environment tab put in the exe of your choice.
