Welcome to the wonderful world of the Microsoft Installer.

You may rectify it by downloading the 2.0 of the Installer - this has been
known to work. Yet I have a server that STILL runs it any time an
administrator logs in. I hate the Installer...

You did install Office with the transform file, didn't you?
Check if this helps. Fixed in SP4.

Of course - Hell I've never been able to run the Office Installer without
the /TRANSFORMS key there...

God if this works... Of coures, SP4 needs a month to age like wine, but I'll
be giving it a shot now that the .msi stuff may be fixed... thanks for the
reference...
