I've this problem on a W2003 server with TS in application mode.
As administrator I install some printers on this server. I install the printers by ADD NEW PRINTER or by right click and install on the printer but the problem persist. Problem: Some printers are created correctly and are visible from all the terminal users (normal users no power or admin...). Other printers are not visible from the users but only from administrator!!!! I've already see that the printers that ork properly are in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and the printers that don't are visible are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER. I've installed all the printer at the same method but I don't understand why there is this difference???? Thanks at all! Teo |

Hi, Teo
1. Make sure you have allowed everyone to print on these printers (check security) 2. If you printers are defined on other servers and administrator only connects to them, then other users will not be able to see them. In this case, adding these printers is better done through scripts. Have some been added via a TS session and others via the Console?

1. Locallly connected or TCP/IP printers will be available to every logged
on user with sufficient priviliges in the ACL. 2. Network printers are per user profile, just like on any NT based computer, and need to be added to the default user profile before the user is created, added via logon script, or manually created for users.
