If you check the EventLog on the console of the server in stead of
remotely from your workstation, you should be able to see the
complete description of the events.

From EventID.net:

EventID: 1071, Source: Server Agents
Description:
System Information Agent: Health: Correctable memory error
detected. The errors have been corrected, but the memory module
should be replaced. [SNMP TRAP: 6029 in CPQHLTH.MIB]

Check the comments on this event, it seems it could or could not
be a false alarm:

I have no idea about the Compaq agent, I've never worked with
Compaq. But the info on EventID.net seems to point to this, yes.

It will most probably *not* solve your license problems. You seem
to have 2 different problems:
Event 221 from LicenseService means that you are running out of
server CALs
Event 21 from TermServLicensing means that no permanent TS CALs
are installed.
Check your server licensing (in Control Panel - Licensing applet)
and TS licensing (is the LS activated? are the TS CALs installed
properly?)

Hi Vera Noest,
Happy Merry Christmas!
I had log case to HP, the HP support had check the memory module by replace
it and the use tools to check the hardware. Everything is OK include the
compaq agent software.

Here is the latest warning log from system & application log.

Please take a look!

1. Warning messages show as below:
- WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 2022 for Performance Library
MSDTC because no value was found in the 009 subkey
- WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 2522 for Performance Library
IAS because no value was found in the 009 subkey
- WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 2396 for Performance Library
DNS because no value was found in the 009 subkey
- WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 2266 for Performance Library
TermService because no value was found in the 009 subkey
- WMI ADAP was unable to create object index 1888 for Performance Library
RSVP because no value was found in the 009 subkey

2. Other warning message 22/12/2004:
-The Open Procedure for service "RemoteAccess" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\System32\rasctrs.dll" failed. Performance data for this service
will not be available. The Status code returned is the first DWORD in the
attached data.
-The description for Event ID ( 2001 ) in Source ( rasctrs ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able
to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event: .
- The system detected that network adapter HP NC7760 Gigabit Server Adapter
was disconnected from the network, and the adapter's network configuration
has been released. If the network adapter was not disconnected, this may
indicate that it has malfunctioned. Please contact your vendor for updated
drivers. 17-12-2004 (system)
- The timeout waiting for the performance data collection function
"PerfDisk" in the "C:\WINNT\system32\perfdisk.dll" Library to finish has
expired. There may be a problem with this extensible counter or the service
it is collecting data from or the system may have been very busy when this
call was attempted. (22-12-2004 12:05pm (application log)

Please advice!

Thanks!

Elvis

Default Re: Terminal Services Issue windows 2000 server

Hi Vera,
I had found some article on Manually Rebuild Performance Counter Library
Values, does this help to solve TS issue.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956/EN-US/

FYI, TS licensing & TS services is runnning OK!

TS Server is runnig standalone workgroup server.

For shutdown server,
can I use shutdown command instead of tsshutdn? Wish one is recommended?
E.g. tsshutdn 300 /reboot /delay:60 /v

Please advice!

Tq!

rgds,
Elvis
