Default Kerio Personal Firewall

Kerio Personal Firewall -- Win9x, WinME, NT4, Win2K, XP

KPF is a very powerful and customisable firewall application, especially for advanced users. Using stateful packet inspection to checking both inbound and outbound traffic, it prevents intruders from coming in, and spyware from calling home.

It features advanced rule creation, mapping of open ports to applications, MD5 application signatures, remote administration, and more.

... or ask Flopps for a tour.

PS. I'm using ZoneAlarm Pro 3

I downloaded this firewall and have been using it soon after Mucks first posted here and I gotta say it seems to be doing it's job OK.

I've been prompted no less than three times to download and install 'bugfix' updates which I've done, but couldn't really notice any difference.

That's probably because it's such a new programme and it's good to see the writers are still working hard on it. For absolutely zilch, I'd thoroughly recommend it.

One thing I've noticed, it's amazing how many times Microsoft wants to update WIN XP, they always trying to connect but with Kerio Firewall in place, you can just say no. Windows Media Player always wanting to connect. Why, I wonder...

I've tried it out and it was great, although I prefer not to have my resources sucked up by a program like this, so I use my brain.
