Originally, no. This was an NT 4 Domain with a Win2k TS.
We used a swing server in order to upgrade and after we transfered the FSMO roles we dcpromo'd it and removed it entirely. Apparently the swing server took the role of License server (I transfered that role after it was removed from the domain). Now When I attempt to add licenses in TS license Mgr it reports that it can access a license server. Any thoughts? Thank you for your time. >-----Original Message----- >Is the license server on the domain controller? > >-M > >>-----Original Message----- >>After I dcpromo'd my initial DC (I did transfer FSMO >roles >>before proceeding), I can no longer access my TS license >>server. Are there any eventlog messages? Have you tried to remove
the TS license service and then readd it? -M >-----Original Message----- >Originally, no. Ok...from the terminal server, can you connect to the
license server manually by entering the network address of it? Have you also tried to hardcode the name of the license server into the registry of the terminal server? support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239107 -M >-----Original Message----- >on the TS win2k server >Event ID: 1010 >The terminal services could not locate a license server. >Confirm that all license servers on the network are >registered in WINS\DNS, accepting network requests, and >the Terminal Services Licensing Service is running. > >Yes I removed the TS License serivce and then readded it >again... now I receive the above error. Thank you for your help. I changed the license server to
another DC and install the TS Licenses. I can now connect from the TS server to the TS License server.
