Default TS Client disconnects

I am running TS on Win2k with SP3. I have clients who
connect from the local LAN and via the internet. The
clients who connect via the internet will lose their
connection many times during an average day, while those
on the local LAN do not. Out internet connection is via a
flex T-1 with 768kbs bandwidth.

We only have 5 clients connecting over this connection.
At each of the client sites, they are connecting with via
a DSL line with 128kbs bandwidth. Each client is at a
seperate location.

Each of the clients are running an application on the
server and will get an error message that the connection
with the server has been lost.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Default TS Client disconnects

Scott,

Looks like I am not the only one with this issue...(see
previous post on the newsgroup).

Could you let me know if you find something that works ?
We've tried pretty much everything so far, including keep
alive, and nothing worked.

Best regards
Rene

What is the error message they get?

I had users accessing the same app and they got disconnects constantly. The
error they got was "Error reading file".

There is a patch from microsoft for when more than one users accesses the
same file through Terminal Services. Article 818528

Matt,

I don't know about Scott, but in my case, we get a message
box telling us the connection was lost. The MS patch can
only be obtained by calling MS. I might give it a try,
just in case.

Thanks
Rene

The error message is generated by the RPC software. It
states:
"The connection to the remote computer was broken. This
may be caused by a network error. Please try connecting
to the remote computer again."
