Default Can't find SCSI device files

I have just installed an Exabyte Mammoth 2 tape drive.
Plug and Play hardware list found it and I installed
latest driver. List of devices says it is installed and
functioning correctly, but I can't figure out how to see
the file system? No additional drives are listed in file
manager? How do you see files on new SCSI file systems.

Default RE: Can't find SCSI device files

Tape drives do not contain browsable file systems. If your Mammoth tape
drive is appearing under the "Tape Drives" heading of device manager (as it
should be), then only backup software such as NTBackup, BackupExec,
ArcServe, etc can use the drive. It will not be visible in Windows
Explorer.

If a new device appears in the "Disk Drives" section of device manager,
then it should be visible in Disk Manager (Right-click My Computer, Manage,
Disk Management) and you will be able to create a partition and format it
with your choice of NFTS or FAT32 file systems.

If you have software installed that allows the tape drive to be used like a
disk drive and it is not working proplerly, please contact to software
vendor for assistance.
