Default New 2000 install

I just bought a new 80 hard drive and would like to
install 2000 professional. What is the best way to do
this as the 2000 cd is not being read on bootup.

Thanks

Greg

The W2K CD is bootable. You need to set the boot sequence
to CD first from bios. When you switch on the m/c, watch
the screen closely for info about going to bios, and prop
around, do not change anything that is not related to boot
sequence.

If unsuccessful, you may like to look at the numerous
posting from Dave Patrick on the same topic.

to "boot from CD" or you can use a windows98 startup disk.
just install the floppy, turn on the computer, at the a:
prompt type "setup" <enter>
That should get you going with no problems

The Win2K CD is not always bootable. I had to go the
floppy route using Makeboot.exe.

The Windows 2000 CD should be bootable. If your cd drive doesn't support
bootable CDs you can make floppies by running makebt32 or makeboot.
