Default Problem with Installed programs after upgrade from win98

I installed win2k on a computer that had many sotware
programs (eg. office 2000 etc.) installed under win98.
However, after the install the start menu does not show
any of the software but the folders are still on disk.

Thanks in advance for any input to resolve this issue.

Richard

PS Add/Remove software does not show the progs either.

If it is a clean install (preferred option), the win2K
registry would not "see" the programs installed under
win98. You will need to reinstall ALL the programs that
you might need.

If it is an upgrade (I have never done this), then the
win98 installed programs should be available.
