I've installed Service Pack 4 (Windows 2000) and my
wireless connection is unable to find my IP address, though I have full signal strength. Has anyone else experienced this? |

What wireless NIC are you using, what IP are you getting currently? We'd
need more information. I havent seen any issues with that kind of thing to date. -- Joseph Conway [MSFT] Windows 2000/2003 Server group This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights "CharlieM" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1052501c3f291$10b78c30$a601280a@phx.gbl... > I've installed Service Pack 4 (Windows 2000) and my > wireless connection is unable to find my IP address, > though I have full signal strength. Hi, I can describe my problem, its looks similar I guess
to this person. I've got W2K Pro SP3 currently. Wireless network is D-Link PCMCIA DWL-G650+ and an DI-624+ Wireless router, PC is Fujitsu E7010 Laptop (Realtek built i NIC). I've tried every possible way to get the wireless part to work but there seems to be a problem to get in contact with the built-in dhcp server in the router. Trough TP cable there is no problem, everthing works fine, but for the wireless part I've tried all known commands to get an ip address, static addressing, rebooting of devices, firmwire upgrades of router etc. I've heard something about this and want to know if there is some known problem regarding this issue? If there is an fix for just this part, I really want to get it, dont want to apply the hole SP4 (needs more specific app testing/verification).
