upgrade to w2k accpts key then fails processing sys files w pg fult

upgrade to w2k accpts key then fails processing sys files
w pg fault. got rid of vnc pcanywhere type program.

At fault it returns the following message:

"winnt32 caused an invalid page fault in
kernnel32.dll ato17f:Bff88396"

Im not sure what character after the f: is either a B or &
or something else. some one suggested a clean boot but i
have tons of software I like on this and no CDs to replace
the soft where if it goes. Help please.
