HP Pavilion xh 216 Laptop me to W 2000

I have loaded win 2K, have modem working and audio working
need help with video drivers and dvd driver.
Can any one help.
Spent $ 30.00 for HP help and they passed me to microsoft??

Best bet on the drivers is:

1. Know as much as you can about the devices as possible
(open the box and write down model # of video card, for
example, if necessary)
2. Go to the specific manufacturer's web site and search
that site for drivers for that specific device.
