The best way is to perform a dual install. To do this,
boot from the W2K CD and install a fresh copy in A NEW DIRECTORY. Do no install in the default winnt because you will overright what is there. After the fresh install, make the necessary changes to the corrupted installation or copy your data to the new installation.
