Upgrade from Win 98 to Win 2000 Pro

I upgraded my dell GX110 from win 98 SE to win 2000 Pro.
The upgrade appeared to go ok. Here is the prob. 1) when
I start the computer up it take about 5-10 minutes to get
to the ctrl,alt,delete screen, it sits on the "applying
computer settings for most of that time. 2) I can log on
to the local computer fairly quicly after that wait, but
if I try to log onto our domain it sits on "loading
personal settings" about 45 minutes before it will let me
in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Point the Win 2k pro computer to the DNS server set up for your AD domain.
(in the properties of TCP/IP)
