Can you swap the RAM?
Also, even if it means slower speed, it's more stable to
have only one stick/brand/size/type of RAM. If you have
more than one stick, try reducing to one stick. If 458MB
is the amount, no doubt you have a collection of sticks.
Sometimes RAM sets that work during normal operation don't
show you the flaws until you try to do an OS install.
